Typographic Matchmaking in the City: Propositions for a Pluralist Public Space.
Abifares, Huda Smitshuijsen.
Typographic Matchmaking in the City: Propositions for a Pluralist Public Space.
Founded in 2004 in Amsterdam, the Khatt Foundation is dedicated to advancing Arabic typography and design thinking in the Middle East, North Africa and elsewhere. 'Typographic Matchmaking in the City' is the result of a Khatt Foundation research project on the differences and synergies between Latin and Arabic scripts, and on applying typographic design to three dimensional urban spaces. With a pleasing and orderly graphic design, the book's nine essays and five projects raise thought-provoking questions, and offer the tools that designers can use to innovate in their own real or imagined cities.
