PEI.
I.M. Pei: First Person Singular
Architect I.M. Pei leads viewers through some of his more famous creations such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Miho Museum, the National Gallery of Art, and the Bank of China. He also speaks candidly about his life, his early years in China, his schooling at both Harvard and MIT, and his approach to architecture and design. I.M. Pei leads viewers through the Louvre, the National Gallery of Art, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Bank of China, the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Miho Museum, and other examples of his extraordinary life's work. He discusses his work in China, his years at MIT and Harvard, and how he worked with such demanding clients as Jacqueline Kennedy, William Zeckendorf, Francois Mitterrand and Paul Mellon. He reveals his innermost philosophy and principles as he has never done before. Filmed on location in Japan, Hong Kong, Paris, Cleveland, New York, Washington, and Dallas. Narrated by the architect himself.
